Telecom major Bharti Enterprises today said it has appointed Inder Walia as group director for human resources with effect from August 6, 2007.
As a group director and as a member of the management board, Walia’s responsibility would be human resources and integration for Bharti group.
“I am confident that Inder will be an effective team member making significant contribution to realise the company’s vision,” Bharti Enterprises Group CEO and Chairman, Sunil Bharti Mittal said.
Prior to this appointment, Walia had been working executive vice president, human resources at Arcelor Mittal and was also a member of the management committee in the group.
Bharti Enterprises is one of India’s leading business groups with interests in telecom, agri-business, insurance and retail.
